This book is sewn in the historic Italian Longstitch binding style, which allows the stitching to become a decorative element on the spine. Pages lay flat when open for easy journaling or sketching. The book is bound using yellow waxed linen thread.
Cover:
The cover is made from a soft piece of teal leather. I attached a coordinating teal strap to the cover, which is used to keep the book shut when not in use.
Papers:
The interior pages are made from a lightly textured cream paper. The pages are hand-torn, giving the edges of the book a rustic natural feel. Colorful pieces of double-sided paper printed with a yellow and white leaf pattern wrap the sections of pages for a decorative touch.
