Delightful piece of atmospheric Americana from the influential Studio Magazine of 1901. Part of a supplement entitled "Modern Pen Drawing: European and American", the print is by Henry McCarter and originally appeared in McLure's Magazine a journal which was keen to promote young pen and ink draughtsmen.
The print shows the farmer and bull team out on the land with the covered wagon. The horizon stretches endlessly and the sky glowers.
Printed on a light, translucent paper - onion skin type. The print is in good condition for its age (110 years) and is only a little foxed at the edges
It deserves a frame after all those years. Measurements are 8.25" x 11.5 ".
I will mail it out in a rigid tube to ensure safe transit.
