Unique sashiko designs you can make yourself! This craft kit provides all the materials you'll need to create your own set of 4 coordinating coasters.
This kit includes:

- - Fully illustrated instructions
- - Carbon paper for tracing pattern(s) onto fabric & tracing plastic
- - Sashiko needle
- - Sashiko yarn (100% cotton)
- - Indigo blue fabric (100% cotton)
- - Backing fabric in heavy-weight gray cotton printed with white polka dots
To complete this kit youʼll also need scissors, a few pins, needle and thread for hand sewing and/or a sewing machine. Finished coasters are approximately 4" by 4" (10 cm by 10 cm).

The Genki Coasters kit is perfect for intermediate stitchers, or those with some sashiko experience. Named "genki," the Japanese word for energetic, the curvy lines and lively patterns in this kit are a bit more challenging to stitch than their straight-arrow friends, and their intersections require more precision. Illustrated instructions guide you through the project step-by-step, and provide additional information via online tutorials and tips.
Unlike other sashiko kits where patterns are printed directly onto the fabric, these patterns are traced onto fabric using carbon paper. This process provides more freedom for design and allows you to reuse patterns, even combine patterns in other designs. Materials included in this kit are for 4 coasters, but you'll be able to use the pattern and carbon paper again and again.
The patterns included in this kit are original Saké Puppets designs, inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetic with a modern twist. All materials included are of the highest quality, and fabrics have been pre-washed using all-natural detergents. Kits are assembled in my smoke-free, pet-free studio in the heart of Tokyo, Japan.
