Wooden Butterfly Necklace Pimped with vintage watch parts & bronze plated chain ...
***** CLOCKWORK BUTTERFLY 5 ******
Featuring a beautifully detailed Wooden butterfly - (made - not by me - by taking vintage illustrations of butterflies (& maybe moths), applying the paper images to 1/8" thick baltic birch board and then cutting the keys with a laser cutting machine & painting the reverse black.)
I have carefully drilled each piece & applied a couple of coats of varnish to the back to convert these whimsies into pendants.
Then I have Steampunked these beauties up by adding various vintage watch parts, wheels & cogs.
WOW!!! I think they really look just like mechanical butterflies...
This specimen measures approx 74mm across & features brown with flashes of blue, green with splashes of golden yellow as shown.
These are attached to bronze plated curb chain (approx 17inches long min - chain only) with a lobster clasp & extension chain to increase the length, if required. It can also easily be made shorter by clasping along the length of chain. The extender is finished off with a bronze tiny key charm to complete:)
PLEASE remember all the above when wearing. These pieces SHOULD NOT get wet so do not wear while showering or swimming!!
This treasure will come to you ready to give, even if it is to yourself, in a lidded gift box to keep it safe on its journey to you.
