Here it is... our custom made race car bed, just for your amazing little racer.
Twin sized bed dimensions apply here. It will adequately support a standard twin, with box springs and mattress. Even two large adults can roll around on it... not that we'll do that in your bed. :-)
Please notice in the photos... the wheels are an added layer, this is not just a thin shell of plywood, painted hastily, as you may have seen in some furniture shops.
Once completed, the bed will be handpainted in a several step process involving at least three coats of paint, then detailing done by hand, not just decals slapped on. My husband is an ex-amazing-graphic artist, and his detail work is very realistic. You can choose the color, red, blue, silver, black... and the number... as well as a personalized racer name, if you wish.
Delivery time is NO LESS than six weeks, and we'll strive for no more than ten weeks, depending upon how close you order to the holiday season.
Shipping quote is an estimate ONLY. We are guestimating $300, but are open to local delivery within the DC metropolitan area. Local orders may wish to substitute personal delivery and set up, for shipping. I will happily look into international shipping, and welcome any and all inquiries prior to purchasing.
We have built one for a neighbor's little boy, and it has been a thrill for him and little friends.
This will be a very heavy bed, constructed of particle board and hardwoods, so take that into consideration before ordering, if you are concerned about being able to move it about a lot.
This is one of the coolest beds you'll find for your wee racing fanatic.
