Wizard Deluxe were sold by Western Auto Supply Company. Manufactured by Eskimo. The 12 inch powerhouse is from the late 1950’s.
Western Auto was based in Chicago; the store was around from the 1940’s thru the 1970’s. They were like a modern general store. They sold a little of everything from automobile tires to fans. This fan is about 16 inches high and 13 inches wide.
The color is a two tone blue.It is comprised of cast iron, steel, and aluminum plus it has three speeds.
The base is cast iron and has no dents, gouges, or deep scratches and retains over 95% of the original paint.
The guard is chrome and has no broken welds, cracks, or breaks. There is some very minor pitting from age. The badge has no dents or deep scratches. The blades are aluminum, polished on one side and center is stamped steel. They are not bent, dented, or creased.
There are minor surface scratches and defects from age and use. The hammered blue finish is in outstanding shape on the motor cover. There is some minor paint wear around the switch and a little paint loss. The switch works properly on all the speeds. It oscillates smoothly.
The fan was serviced and tested for over 2 hours. It ran with no problems. The original power cord is in great shape with no bare spots or cuts. Overall condition is excellent for a fan of this age. There are not a lot of Wizard Deluxe fans out there. If you collect vintage fans or just need something to cool you off, here it is.
This is perfect to cool you off...display in your home or stage a room!
