I was given a boatload of some very nice pieces of leather. I mean the kind of high-quality, fancy-shmancy, look-but-don’t-touch kind of niiiiiice leather. I organized it by color. I gave it a well lined drawer of its own in my workspace. I hoarded it. Two years went by and the leather still had its own drawer. Finally, I thought the leather was too beautiful to just sit there keeping me company. So, I gave it to the Art teacher at the school where I was teaching and she swooned over having it donated to her! I saw all kinds of Art projects around the school with those pieces of leather. And then I was going through some of my fabric scraps and VIOLA – I found more of that scrumptious leather!

Now, I’m making my own art projects!

I’ve distressed the ends of the book and some pages of it. The inside front and back cover has end papers which differ from the white pages within the book.

Each tiny book is simply intended to wear around your neck to remind you how books can take you anywhere you want to go. The pages are not meant to be pulled out and used nor is there a story within its cover. You’re creative enough that you can script your own story!
