vintage heart locket / 1940s jewelry / monogram / LA NOTRE

A mid century, vintage heart locket with a warm patina. The locket is plated in 12K gold and has a plain verso and an engraved face. The face features vertical bands of machining within a "stitched" border that follows the contour of the locket. At the center, there is a an oval with the monogram "MLL" in elegant script. The locket has two photo compartments that are empty, with no picture rings or inserts. Both the hinge and the clasp are in good working order. I've added a 14K GF chain. There is discoloration to the base metal inside the locket, but exterior appearance is excellent.
