One day I was sorting through my new treasure and all of these ended up in a row. I knew they had to be a necklace. While working out the details I added a new skill to my set, figuring out how to use wood like a bezel setting. This piece is one of a kind, unless anyone wants to send me some more Oaxacan shells! Anyway, I am so pleased with the result and hope you are too!
I chose purple heart wood because it brought out some of the natural undertones of the wood and provided a killer contrast. All metal components are sterling silver. The necklace is approx 17" long.
