This pillow began its journey as an original painting in the art studio of Melody Lea Lamb www.etsy.com/shop/mllamb47. Melody’s “Miniature Masterpieces - Tiny Treasures” of fantasy beings and woodland creatures, are collected worldwide. From Melody’s studio it traveled to a fabricator specializing in art-to-fabric; once there it was transferred to a linen-cotton canvas cloth. After arriving at The Beaded Pillow it was hand-sewn and hand-beaded to create the one-of-a-kind treasure you see here.
I detailed the mouse with black, gray and brown seed beads. Her eye features a small facet-cut blue glass bead. And her gray beaded whiskers twitch in the green seed bead blades of grass. One blade even has a crystal dew drop. I used a mixture of orange and yellow seed beads outlined with black on the butterfly. Its body is a mix of colorful iridescent cut tube beads.
