I adore this lace. It is totally irresistible, and I bought it on a whim despite not finding very much of it in stock. I originally planned to construct a stunning little skirt with it, but as I was working the skirt just didn’t seem like quite enough. Instead it became a loveable dress fit for warm summers, and high doses of sunshine. Beautifully fitted, it is constructed with a flattering high waist and flirtatious hemline that add length to your legs. The skirt is equipped with pleats in the front and back that give it a flared bell-like appearance that hides the hips, and leaves you unrestricted. I gave the bodice a more modern one-shoulder cut along with dashes of asymmetrical lace overlays, giving it a more contemporary appearance. The lace is scalloped along the bottom of the skirt, and equipped with dainty stripes and clusters of flowers. I am completely enamored with the end result and can’t wait for it to warm up enough to take it with me on a picnic and bike ride.
