down the bodice. The dress also has a gathered
section at the bust that matches the short, puffed
sleeves. The bodice is closely fitted and the flared
skirt is nicely gathered at the piping trimmed waist.
The dress closes with a side metal zipper. The
main body of the fabric is perhaps best described
as a yellowish- vanilla color, perhaps a bit richer than
it appears in the photos.
condition: this dress has some small, very faint spots
on the skirt. The one shown is by far the largest at 3/8"
by just over 1/8". This is located on the back of the skirt.
There is a second spot that is about 1/8" across and
a few more that are smaller than 1/8" or pin to pinhead
size on the back and one pinhead size spot near the
neckline. This sounds so much worse than it actually
is! Again, these are very faint and all are similar to the
one shown except smaller and they do not affect the
overall aesthetics of the dress. It has been soaked and
washed so it is fresh and clean and ready to wear.
Other than the above issues the dress is in excellent
condition. It is very well constructed and very sturdy.
