What you get:
* complete instructions (with loads of step-by-step photos) to make a set of three pirate and three ninja finger puppets
* full-sized pattern (no enlarging needed)
* a blank pattern (no pirates or ninjas - just the cutting and stitching lines) so you can design your own additions. Maybe you need some barrels for the pirates to hide behind? Or some trees for the ninjas to hide behind? Or maybe you want to make a completely different set. Flowers and fairies? Cowboys and aliens? Cats and dogs? The sky's the limit!
Materials needed:
* two 8 1/2" x 11" pieces of white cotton fabric
* needle and thread
* freezer paper (available at the grocery store - near the tinfoil)
* fine-tipped black permanent marker
* colored pencils
* chalk pencils or erasable marker for marking cutting and sewing lines
Skills needed:
* tracing
* coloring
* cutting with scissors
* sewing a seam by hand or sewing a curved seam with a machine
I designed this especially for beginning sewers so the pattern includes a stitching line to follow. Each puppet is small enough to quickly and easily stitch up by hand.
