These squishy, smiley, stuffie friends are reminders of what we love about these endangered creatures of the ocean. And with only a couple of hundred thousand of them left on Earth, we need to make more!!

The document has a total of 18 pages but it is set up as a combined pdf file so that you can open up the size you want, and print out only that one, without having to work out which pages the size you want is on. (incl the step by step pics in the instructions)

While Sperm whales have 20lb brains - the largest brains of any animal - you only need about a 3lb brain to sew one with this pattern. Basic knowledge of sewing by machine and negotiating around curves will do the trick. Each step is explained with photographs to help you along the way.

WHALE SIZES:
Papa - 15" x 6.5"
Mama - 9" x 4"
Baby - 6" x 2.75"

FABRIC ALLOWANCE:
Depending on how you stack your pattern pieces (one on top of each other, or left & right side-by-side), you will need a minimum of one of the two sizes listed for each whale size you plan on making.
BABY WHALE: 16’ x 7” or 12” x 11”
MAMA WHALE: 24” x 10” or 18” x 15”
PAPA WHALE: 35” x 14” or 28” x 21”
TIP: To make a patchwork whale, just piece fabrics together to the above sizes before cutting out the pattern pieces.

NOTIONS NEEDED:
Stuffing, Cotton thread, Embroidery thread, Small Stone. (if making pin cushion)
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
Sewing machine, Pins, Needle, Pencil, Chopstick or skewer.
