This piece is from my "Just a Number" series. These are derived from vintage mugshots or prison ID photos. I find the people in these photos, often identified only by a number, intriguing because to me they serve to remind us of our humanity, fraility, and need for redemption. We are all more than just a number.
The image size of the pencil drawing is approx. 4 1/2 x 7 5/8 inches. The full tissue paper page is 8 1/2 x 11 inches The tissue paper page has a very light ivory color and wrinkles and creases that add a wonderful character and texture to the piece. It is still lightly attached (along the what was the spine side of the book) at the top edge to the blank page that was also part of the encyclopedia.
The artwork could be matted and framed to display the entire page or cropped - the choice is yours. The artwork is sealed with fixative. It ships to you in an acid-free plastic sleeve sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard. Watermark does not appear on drawing.
***No rare valuable,or collectible books were harmed in the making of this piece.***
