This Book presents a fascinating Introduction to glassmaking, which is an Ancient Craft, as well as its collecting as practiced in the United States - Illustrated with Lovely Color and Black-and-white Photographs.

Lura Woodside Watkins presents an introductory overview of American Glassmaking, as well as touching on the major forms produced by this artistic craft. The illustrations are lovely and depict the various lineages of glass as produced in America.

This is a lovely book -- the softly illuminated photographs are exquisite - both the experienced connoisseur and the beginning collector should be able to appreciate Lura Watkin's presentation.
