It has wide shoulder straps, a deep v-neck and elasticized empire waist, accented by a decorative string tie. The front is open from the elasticized band at the bust to the hem and trimmed in dainty sheer scalloped lace that continues around the arms and neck. The bust and hem are trimmed with wider bands of sheer scalloped floral lace.
Part of the fun of dyeing anything is the surprise of how things turn out. (Like snowflakes - or people - no two pieces ever come out exactly alike.) This came out of the bath for the most part a green-ish, blue-ish dusty shade of teal, with the lace trim taking on a lighter tint.
It's not a true solid, meaning it has a couple darker and lighter spots which is just the nature of the process.

This is marked a size small. In terms of this type of lingerie I usually base fit on a woman's bra size. I wear a size 36 bra and, because of the nature of the elastic empire waist and open front, I can put this on without a struggle but the bust panels don't quite cover "the girls". I'd say it's best for a 30 - 32" bust.

There's a pinhole in the lace on the right side of the bust.
Otherwise in great vintage condition. This will arrive washed and ready to wear.
(PS: In case you're wondering about any "side effects" from wearing hand-dyed lingerie around the house, or anywhere else, the pieces go through two fairly rigorous washings during the process which helps set the dye. To date I have never had any problems with bleeding or color transfer and I have two chairs covered in white fabric in my living room.)
