To free middle earth meant also a lot of battles and fights.I was looking for a Lady who has the strenght to fight with sword and shield and the only one i´ve found was Eowyn,niece of King Theoden of Rohan.
She was educated with her brother Eomer in horseriding and fighting and she didn´t saw her place as a nurse or a housewife,she was a shield maid .When she mets Aragorn she falls in love in a heroic way more like beeing weapon brothers.
Her role i think was always a bit under estimated.
Dressed like a man she followed toghether with the hobbit Meriadoc King Theoden on his way to Gondor to find her heroic death.She mets the Lord of the Nazgul,the Witchking of Angmar and Saurons powerfull servant on the battlefield and with the help of Meriadoc she kills him and fullfilled the prophecy of the Elf Glorfindel,that the Witchking of Angmar can´t be killed by the hand of a living man.
Who knows how the story could have changed when the Lord of the Nazgul wasn´t killed by Eowyn ,the shield maid of Rohan.
The shield necklace are made of two copper plated shields wich i embellished in matt gray and bronze seed beads.Little Renaissance beads in dark brown and bronze are embellish the outside ring of the first shield.The second shield is just with a seed bead embillishment and is finished with a lovely faceted copper rondell bead.
The necklace is a Herringbone beaded tube with some buggle bead decoration .
The shield pendant measures 11cm / 4 3/8inch.
The Herringbone necklaces measures 49,5cm/19,5inch and it closes with a beaded loop toggle closure.
