Sparkling vintage rhinestones, lemon quartz and ivory pearls adorn the intricately beaded lace flowers of these romantic handcrafted wedding earrings. Like their namesake flower, the Melilot Earrings feature a combination of soft, spring-like, pastel yellows. They are part of my Spring/Summer 2011 Wedding collection...
❀ Lace Motifs ❀
As with all of my designs, the lace motifs and silk medallions were created entirely from scratch, using my signature lacemaking techniques and copyrighted patterns.
Delicate six-petalled lace flowers adorn marquise-shaped textile medallions of sunny, golden yellow pure silk threads, The flowers have been fashioned using pure silver foil threads, like those used in traditional kimono embroidery. The details of the lace motifs have been highlighted with dozens of tiny vintage glass beads. Vintage rhinestones in silver tone settings adorn the centers of the flowers, and ivory freshwater pearls are interwoven with lemon quartz stones throughout the petals. Large round ivory freshwater pearl drops are suspended below on sterling ball head pins. The motifs are attached to sterling silver lever back ear wires and finished off with tiny lace rosettes on the back.
