I love the billowy texture of this quirky, slouchy little number. Hand-tied pinch pleats in a grid pattern on the front side, made with mid-weight ivory linen. Heavy-weight, highly textured linen in a color I call mottled sand on the back side. Lined with the same mottled sand linen. A leather belt riveted at the sides for a strap that is long enough to wear across the body or over the shoulder. Parts of the same belt, attached with rivets, serve as a loose closure. As you can see in the photos, at the top-stitching of the pinch pleated front, I've not stitched the ivory linen to lay perfectly flat. Some folds, gathers - quirks I suppose - are there by design. Perfection is seldom my intention.
As the leather strap does not detach, I recommend only hand-washing, gently, avoiding wetting the leather straps. Measures 12" tall x 11" wide, with a 2" box bottom and 29.5" strap.
