A metal Brooch with a tie tack finding on the back, the flower sits atop a metal filigree piece with a stem and leaves. Two clay leaves embellish the metal leaves.
A 4mm crystal “dewdrop” dangles from the filigree background flower.
The flower with stem is 1 15/16”H x 1 3/8”W x 7/8” thick including the tie tack and clutch.
The rose is antiqued with black acrylic paint to bring out the definition of the rose and skull. The leaves are made by me in the millefiori technique. They are not painted, each color that you see is laid together to form the image and then cross sections are cut to make the leaves.
The shaded colors you see in the petals of the rose are done the same way.
It is constructed out of very high quality Cernit polymer clay.
