Something about last year's Sherlock series on BBC just lends itself well to the art style of Edward Gorey. They both favor Victorian wallpaper patterns, rich detail, and overly dramatic heroes. When the idea came to me to draw up my very own Baker Street Tinies, I couldn't resist making this pair of drawings -- each with a characteristic way our intrepid heroes might expire.

This is a set of two printed cards. John's pose and predicament are an homage to Gorey's "J is for James" page, and Sherlock is a combination of "N is for Neville" and the wonderfully dramatic pose from "S is for Susan." Each original art was hand-drawn, and now you can get them printed on cards.

You can tell someone you miss them -- or don't -- using a touch of your favorite characters. Or just keep them and have your very own Sherlock and John just hanging around, waiting for their dismal ends.

Each card is custom printed on 5x7 Strathmore watercolor card stock. These cards are made of a thick, luxuriously textured stock with one naturally rough deckle edge. All cards custom designed by artist Amy Crook.
