I bought this devastatingly beautiful 1930s two piece lacey-knitted sweater top + skirt dress set from a fellow seller on Etsy with hopes that it would somehow magically fit. Clearly, reality has set in, so now's some lucky vintage lover's chance to swoop in a snap up this one-of-a-kind set from my favourite era in fashion history. Inner label reads, "A Fleetwood Product," which indicates this set was purchased in a shop. Still, it retains the beauty and charm of any depression-era handmade set I've seen. Made of a stunning and vibrant coraly-salmony-watermelony shade of yarn that almost has the hand of acrylic, but I think it's a wool blend of some sort? Top has two gorgeous ivory coloured buttons that I think are carved celluloid. Gulp! So exquisite!!!

*set shown on 35.5-26.5-36 mannequin (all areas did stretch to fit, but the narrowness of the shoulders on the sweater, as well as sleeve length, indicate that set best fits someone who has narrower measurements and is more petite. Perhaps looks most ideal on wearer who is close enough in size to garments that they still fit rather closely to the body but not causing the garments to stretch too much)

Condition: Excellent/Near Mint. Some very slight pilling here and there, one or two pulled threads. Skirt seems to be missing an elastic (usually these sets have elastic threaded through inside waistband. Skirt can be worn as is, but buyer may want to add one, especially if they want to draw waist in a bit more. All in all, this is a rare find, indeed.
