This tiny wearable planter was handmade in my atelier here in Holland without the use of any molds, casts or mass-reproducing methods. It's an authentic one-of-a-kind handmade art piece from Holland, complete with my signature on the bottom.
Holland is famous throughout the world for its broad expanses of brightly colored tulip fields, its flower auction that exports 20 million flowers each day from the third largest building in the world, and its secluded "hofjes," secret gardens hidden behind centuries-old city walls and garden gates. Nearly every Dutch household keeps a small but splendid garden between their cobblestone walls with flower-filled terra cotta pots and old wooden clogs (Klompen in Dutch). This tiny wearable planter looks just like the wooden shoe planters I see while riding my old-fashioned bike through the streets of Holland.
