The Spleen is part of the Lymphatic System. It removes old red blood cells, holds reserves of blood, and recyles iron.
Shown in my spleen is the white pulp, which produces anti-bodies, red pulp which filters red blood cells, and veins and arteries.
I made this Brooch with pure wool felt and DMC cotton.
The Spleen is approx 4.5 cms by 4.5 cms.
The brooch back is my absolute favourite type. These are very secure brooch backs that almost never come loose. I have never lost a brooch with this sort of back.
Will be shipped in a Bubble bag unless purchased at the same time as a Specimen Jar.
Completely freehand cut and stitched.
