A brilliant sign of spring at my childhood home, the batik bearded iris is one of my all time favorites. Perhaps it is the deep purple-blue or that no bloom is exactly like another? Beautiful and fragrant too! While painting this botanical piece I could almost smell the real thing.

Printed on archive quality matte photo paper. Original watercolor completed April 2011. (copyright image not part of sale item)

Open edition number, title, and artist signature on back with soft black colored pencil. Gift wrapped with white tissue, brown craft paper, and blue ribbons. Shipped USPS Priority Mail in semi-rigid recyclable envelope.
