My entry evokes the beauty of the Elven city of Rivendell, home of the beautiful Anwen. For the love of the hero Aragorn, she forsakes her Elven immortality and takes on human mortality. She eventually marries Aragorn and together they rule the kingdom of Gondor. I think Anwen would like a piece of jewelry to remind her of her home and family.
The focal stone is an Ocean Jasper cab with Fancy Jasper beads encircling it. Bead embroidery of seed beads and various gemstones, including amethyst, rose quartz, tourmaline, amazonite, purple aventurine, and freshwater pearls, depict a peaceful garden scene. The same stones and pearls are used in the fringe. The dimensions of the entire pendant are 5 inches by 4.25 inches (12.7cm x 10.8cm). The piece is backed with moss green UltraSuede. The rope is entirely seed beads, finished with a gold filled toggle clasp.
Length, including across the top of the pendant, is 31 inches (78.7cm).
