This large alligator planter would be great for a medium plant just outgrowing its pot, or a good-sized houseplant; the hollow part is the size of his head/pot.
Recently I picked up five pieces of greenware at my local ceramic supply store; I could not resist the gator planters in different sizes. This is the largest of the sizes (you can see them all in the last photograph).
He is glazed in non-toxic glazes and can be cleaned in hot soapy water or even run through the dishwasher.
Approximate Height: 11 inches
Approximate Width: 5.5 inches (at opening)
Approximate Weight: 2 lbs. 14 oz
While I do own the majority of the molds for the ceramics I make, I did find this piece in greenware (post-pouring, pre-firing). I cleaned it, fired it in my kiln, glazed it, and fired it again. Because I do not own the mold for this, unless I can acquire more in greenware, this is likely to be a one-time offering.
