I bought this lovely ceramic plaque that reads: The Unfolding of Your words gives light
Psalms 119:130 and wanted to do something special so I bought a rustic metal cross to go with it and made this very organic design using broken dish tiles. Actually, all my tiles are handcut to fit next to one another, but "broken dish" is the general term for this style of mosaic.

I brought out the golds from the plaque with rich honey gold tiles and some that are slightly patterned with oranges and yellows. I also used a cute dark green with tiny white dots and one with a light green swirl against a white background.

To add texture I chose some bright green opaque glass gems as well as dark chocolate colored ones. I also took 1" transparent tiles and cut them in half to surround the 7x9 mirror.

In one of the photos you can see a small tile that has a dove on it, which symbalizes the Holy Spirit that I added to complete the theme.

The entire 12" x 22 1/2" mosaic is framed in a leaf green color that I painted on the 1/4" wood frame that is attached to the base which is made of 1/2" plywood.

The back has been painted brown and is signed. All my pieces are OOAK and signed by me.

I attached a metal D-ring for easy hanging.
