Moss is a very easy plant to take care of, comparable to the ease of cactus care. The main difference is the amount of humidity and moisture the two need. Cactus are known to need dry conditions while moss needs moist conditions at all times. The sealed glass container acts as a mini ecosystem, or biological system consisting of many organisms that exist in mutual dependence with the other organisms in the system. Tiny microscopic organisms in the soil and the moss itself break down any waste components. The jar traps the moisture inside allowing the moss to thrive.
Care is simple; no direct sun required and water sparingly every 2-3 weeks. Will come with detailed instructions.
Shipping price is for 2 day Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. I ship live plants once a week, usually at the beginning of the week between Monday and Wednesday to avoid the box sitting at the post office all weekend long. Please contact me if you require rush delivery. Take a look at my policies page for more information.
Terrariums are packaged with great care so as not to break or get tossed around during shipping.
✲✲✲✲INTERNATIONAL: Unfortunately live plants cannot be shipped outside the United States due to customs laws. In some cases kits are available either without the moss or with preserved/dry moss. Contact me for details.✲✲✲✲
