These items are the last of their kind, and one of Laura's signature woven labels has been sewn into each piece of clothing.
This romantic two-piece bodice and skirt ensemble is made in black velvet and brocade which combine together to create a classic gown like silhouette. The bodice has a squared off neckline with a brocade center panel trimmed in soutache braid trim, that buttons down to a pointed hem which is trimmed in black ruffled lace. The 3/4 sleeves are accented with brocade cuffs, and the back princess seams are accented with soutache braid trim and feature lacing to provide adjustability. The chest measures approx. 36", the waist 34", the sleeves 14 1/2", and the overall length from the shoulder down to the front center point 21".
The matching skirt is a paneled a-line skirt with soutache braid trim edging the center velvet panel. The waistband is elasticized for comfort ~ measuring approx. 27" unstretched, and it stretches up to approx. 41" to accommodate a wide range of sizes. The skirt measures approx. 38" at its longest point from waist to hem.
Shown with a hooped underskirt worn underneath for added fullness.
