I am selling this wonderful Royal typewriter that has all its' original parts, I believe. It's in marvelous vintage shape . It looks like this typewriter is from 1916 or 1917. The serial # is X315612. That would make it WWI vintage!!! Yeah, ONE! The keys are all in great shape. The space bar (made out of wood!!) is intact and working but there is a small section of worn paint (see photo). There is very little rust on this and what is there is only surface rust. It has the double beveled windows on the sides and the typwriter bell is in the back (still works!) . The only problem that it seems to have is the carriage pull string is broke. It's there, just broke. So the carriage doesn't automatically move when a key is struck. It has to be nudged with your hand. I'm working on finding a replacement, but fishing line can be used. This would make a wonderful gift for anyone who loves to write or would look great in any den or living room. It's heavy...weighing 35# by itself. I have a hefty shipping price on this, but will refund any overcharge on the shipping. I can send more pics if interested. Thanks for looking at this wonderful piece of history!!
