In creating my necklace, I strived for the impression of strength and beauty, since Legolas was both. As a centerpiece, I have used a repurposed medallion from a broken necklace and then enhanced it with bead embroidery. The embroidery is done with twisted silver bugle beads, gray, rainbow gray and aqua green seed beads, turquoise beads, green Czech druk beads and green aventurine leaf beads. The greens represent that Legolas was a woodland elf and the silver represents his warrior status. The embroidery work is backed with black leather.
The inside circumference of the neck opening is approximately 16 inches. The medallion portion is roughly 4 inches across and 5 inches long. The clasp is a peyote stitched loop and toggle.
