quite durable with all of the layers of varnish - one of the few beetles that my cat can't destroy!
i often wear my beetle on my top hat or as a feature piece on a choker.

all of my origami pieces have been coated with 3-4 layers of epoxy varnish making them highly durable - kitten proof and crash tested with small children. the uv-stabilizer in the varnish also prevents the colours and art fading over time.
