A tied quilt created from feed sack fabric. My hunch is that the fabric is from the 1930s but it wasn't put together until much later. The reason I say this is that the yarn looks very synthetic to me. Just my hunch. Either way, it's pretty unique and this is what I'd like you to know about this lovely quilt ...
1) It is tied with blue yarn and hand sewn around the edges. All the way around....
2) The back side {purple} has a hole {see the pic} and some spotting on the back.
There are also several small holes where some of the yarn knotting has come out.
3) On the front side, I can't see any holes or damage. Lots and lots of beautiful feed sack fabric in very good vintage condition.
4) She is heavy and measures approximately 78” by 65”.
5) The fabric, on both sides, is of high quality.
6) The woman I purchased it from dated it to the 1930s.
