The brooch is 2 inches by 1 1/2 inches with a dimensional height of 3/8 inches. This piece is in excellent condition. There is some wear to the gold plating, but minimal use or wear marks, and no corrosion. The pin and catch work well. The rhinestones are free of scratches, cracks, or chips. There is some very minimal facet edge wear on the stones. The red stones are not completely solid in color, but have some darker swirls running through the glass.
This is a very pretty vintage butterfly brooch, and somewhat unusual in red, white and blue!
