This style does not have nose pads. The hump of this bridge basically rests on the bridge of your nose. What little molded nose pad there is, really serves no purpose, other than to add a little silhouette to the frame.
This is for the red color. The frames are layered with a milky white interior,
and bright red on the outside.
Also available in Black, and Kiwi Green.
Unused, new vintage stock.
This listing is for ONE pair.
I have been selling eyewear on the internet for about 10 years. These frames come from a vendor of mine, who has been in business since the 1989. I closed out this style with them, and this sleek cat eye was one of the first cat eyes introduced into their line.
These originally wholesaled for over $40 a pair.
Approx. Opthalmic measurements as follows,
and may vary ever so slightly, from one pair to the next:
Frames measure just shy of 5 1/2" across, tip to tip (140mm).
Bridge DBL (distance between lenses) is 15mm.
Lens width is (2 1/32") 50mm.
Lens height is (3/4") 20mm.
Inside hinge to hinge is (4 7/8") 125mm.
Temple length is (5 1/2") 140mm.
Not suitable for progressive prescriptions as the lens height is not enough to accommodate 2 prescriptions in one lens.
These frames are not marked, nor do they come with lenses.
This shape looks best on rounder faces than mine. I have a long, oval face. (I am the gal in some other photos, not this one. The perfect model is wearing these red ones. One of my buyers).
Slim, rectangular styles look best on round shaped faces,
and fuller frames look best on oval faces.
For the most part, I wear what I like, and do claim a pair of these in black, as my own.
Please make sure your optician will happily fill your prescription, with frames you walk in with. I guarantee that my frames are optical quality.
Online lens replacement labs are generally cheaper than brick and mortar eyeglass chain stores when it comes to filling your prescription.
Kindly read my eyewear guide, under my shop policies, or follow this link.
These frames are expensive, and feel good in your hands, comfortable, and are higher end acetates, that any optican would love to fill with a sunglass prescription, or your clear, everyday prescription. Quality such as these would easily fetch over $200 in an optical shop.
Comes with a protective case. REMEMBER~ Measure your own frames, and compare to my measurements for a sure fit, cause not all heads/eyeglasses are the same size :-))
I realize the difficulty of buying eyewear online. I am happy to model any pair, and give you some guidance. My vintage eyewear is returnable within 7 days of receipt.
Your Homework assignment is:
Ask for photographs of me wearing them, (if necessary).
Please measure a pair of your own frames, to see if these will fit you,
as not all heads are the same size.
Print out this listing, and make sure your optician will put lenses into frames that you walk into their establishment with. Many are not taking kindly to this, as they will tell you just about anything, to get you to buy their own frames.
If they tell you that they cannot do it, take these babes elsewhere, or send them to an online optical lab. Many online places will happily do it for less.
I have a second business on the internet, selling reading glasses, and eyeglass frames, for 10 years, and I have heard it all, seen it all.
Kindly read my store policies, as there may be information there, that pertains to your order.
