Recently, I made the decision to allow finished products to be made from most of the patterns that I create and sell. When I created this particular pattern, however, I decided that it would be best to stipulate that the super hero patterns are for personal use only. The reason why? This pattern was meant to be used as a generic, every-woman’s super hero apron pattern. I realize that there are a great many super heroes and super hero fans out there. Most of these adored super heroes and their symbols (such as Superman’s “S”) are produced and legally protected under a licensed trademark agreement. If someone were to purchase my apron pattern, and use it to produce and sell super hero aprons with trademarked symbols on them and/or using the hero’s name, that person could find himself/herself in legal trouble. This is one of the reasons I do not include ANY trademarked super heroes' symbol templates in my patterns. Thank you for understanding.
