Periwinkle and Green Asymmetric Log Cabin Mosaic Trivet

A combination of Italian enameled glass, and translucent illuminati tiles in periwinkle, pale blue and teal green tones, with metallic teal glass tile accent. I was inspired by the traditional Log Cabin quilt design, and the challenge of translating it into glass. The black stained frame is complemented by a "raven" grout, which is sealed for water and stain resistance. Glass is impervious to heat, but the wooden frame needs gentler care.
This mosaic can be used as a trivet--just wipe clean(but please do not immerse in water)--or as a wall hanging, as there is a built in keyhole hanger on the back. Total dimension is 6x6 inches.
