This sauce, made with the hottest variety of pepper grown in the world, is about as hot as a sauce can be without using extracts. My farmer says these peppers rate just under 1.6 million on the Scoville Scale. Compare that to the 3,000 the average jalapeño rates. Also, it has now been aging for over a year. I tasted it to see if it was ready, and will never open a bottle again. I love my mouth too much. Other, stronger willed folks, have said the sauce has a great flavor- slightly fruity, very subtle.
It should go without saying that this sauce is not for the novice. Do not drink it straight. Do not feed it to young children or animals. If you get it on your skin, rinse immediately with rubbing alcohol or bleach to deactivate the capsaicin. No, I'm not kidding- this sauce will literally burn the skin for a solid day if not properly washed off.
Eat the pepper and seeds at your own risk. When cooking, add one drop at a time. Too much will ruin your food, but the right amount will make it exquisite. Shake well before using. 10/10 on a heat scale
Please note, due to the heat level of this sauce, I am obliged by my insurance to enact a waiver of liability: Purchase of this sauce signifies a binding legal agreement that you fully understand that this sauce is wicked hot and have been informed of the risks of use; you further agree to inform any third party you give this sauce to of the risks involved. Should injury arise, you hold harmless Sadistic Mistress Sauces LLC and her affiliates.
(My personal opinion is that it's not really hot enough to make this much of a fuss over especially if you are used to hot sauces, but if I don't include the waiver no doubt some yokel will try to sue me because he drank a bottle on a dare and had to have his stomach pumped.)
Devil in the Details:
While there are no artificial ingredients or additives whatsoever, all sauces are shelf stable, but I suggest keeping them in the fridge to protect the flavor. The sauces are not only vegan* but gluten, soy, and peanut free (though I cannot guarantee that the kitchen does not contain traces of these allergens). The ingredient list is posted in the materials section. If you have any more specific questions, please feel free to convo me.
*“The Safe Word Is” contains Worcestershire sauce which has anchovies in it.
All hot sauces are made from organic farm fresh peppers in a sanitary environment. These aren’t something I just cooked up in my kitchen one day for my friends. Well, they are, but then I had to pay the state of KY much money to send a food inspector out to certify the kitchen I cook in (a commercial space provided by the university), myself (certified food service manager), and my process (tedious pepper pulping, constant fumigation, hot-fill bottling, and bleach cleaning). Rest assured that each bottle has been painstakingly prepared with the utmost care and concern towards quality and safety.
I never upcharge on shipping. You pay what I pay. If I can find a cheaper way to ship, I will let you know and refund the difference where applicable. At this time, shipping costs between $5.15-$6.50 for the first bottle and goes up by $2 for each additional bottle. If you want to order 4 or more, however, I can ship at a flat rate of $11.35. So, it is really better to order more. Christmas Eve delivery is guaranteed if you order and pay by December 19. International orders are welcome. Please ask me for a shipping quote.
