An original five colour hand pressed linocut print.
Last summer we stopped off in Troyes on our two week road trip around European towns. It is the ancient capitol of the Champagne region in France.
The medieval old town is full of these rickety, slanted half timbered houses. Each house front is beautifully painted in different subdued colours to its neighbour, with contrasting timber.
These particular grand houses had been converted into shops on the ground floor. Inspite of their commercial use they still managed to retain the original charm.
The actual printed area measures approx H25cm x W25cm.(approx H9 7/8" x W9 7/8")
The paper size is approx H33cm x W33cm.(approx H13" x W13")
The print is hand pressed one colour at a time onto thick Zerkall paper.
This print will arrive in a film fronted bag and packaged with a cardboard surround to protect it whilst in transit.
