This desk lamp is so incredibly, amazingly deco-- gorgeous! It looks to be made of brass with a weighted cast iron base, and it has a fabulous crackle finish on the shade and base. The shade has two stripes of shiny brass as accents and some great little holes in the back for ventilation when the bulb heats up.
The "stem" of the lamp appears to have originally been shiny brass however it has corroded with age so that it almost appears to have a crackle finish. The stem of the lamp features an amazing linear deco construction with two bent rods attached parallel to the main stem with eight brass balls, which makes for a gorgeous silhouette.
The lamp is fully adjustable--the shade can be directed up and down; it can turn side to side; and the height of the lamp can be greatly adjusted, as well.
The base of the lamp measures 6" diameter, the shade measures 9" wide and 3.5" deep. The tallest the lamp can be is about 20". The shortest it can be is about 13.5".
The lamp works beautifully and has a fabulous deep "click" when you shut it off. I will include the bulb with the lamp, however I cannot guarantee that the bulb will still work when it arrives to you, since it appears to be very old.
I'm not sure the make of the lamp. The only mark it has on it is on the switch, which says "Leviton".
The fabric on the bottom of the lamp is a bit worn but could easily be replaced if you so wished.
Overall this is an incredible lamp and would make a wonderful accent piece in your eclectic retro home!
