Shrug style bolero sweater with voluminous hippie bell sleeves. Bright multi-colored and textured with an abundance of different stitch and yarn color combos.
Great to wear over a tank top, tunic, winter turtleneck or whatever you choose.
This shoulderette has been loom-knitted by me in the body area and I have added hand-crocheted voluminous sleeves. Even though this sweater top looks like it comes straight from a 70s magazine it has been entirely designed by me and worked without a commercial pattern. Some of the yarns are true vintage (but never used before) materials to capture the vibe and feel of the hippie/psychedelic era.
Mainly acrylics, but also crincle wool and a few boucles.
The materials are sturdy and are easy to care for, the weaves are more on the heavy side. Definitely will add warmth to any bare skin.
Sizing: model wears roughly a Large Women in tops and sweaters, the most important measurement is the back measurement as it defines the space between both arm openings.
From arm pit opening to arm pit opening approx. 24 inches
(You can measure a good fitted sweater while laying flat and compare), the shrug still has some stretch but I would not recommend for anyone with back width more than 25"
back length 19"
arm opening 8,5" measured while laying flat (biceps)
sleeve length 16"
sleeve width at bottom approx. 16" measured while laying flat across
This shrug will fit a woman size Medium, Large and Extra Large.
Hand washing and flat drying ONLY. I include care suggestions for all my handmade items in your package.
