I thought the Batman logo would look cool on a leather buckle, but I wanted to give it a bit of a twist, so in addition to leaving part of the hand-tooled logo the natural color of the leather, I added a stitch line of thick hemp thread. The area around the logo is dyed dark brown and the buckle is stitched together with brown waxed thread.
I have been doing custom leather work for 16 years. All of my buckles are constructed out of vegetable-tanned tooling leather and are hand-tooled and hand-stitched by me. These are not pre-cut kits, which tend to be of flimsier, thinner leather. I cut out the leather for each buckle myself.
After my buckles are assembled and the edges are slicked, I add a coat of oil before the final sealer, which gives both the dyed and natural portions of the leather a richer tone.

This listing is for a BUCKLE ONLY. They measure 3.5 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall and will fit snap belts up to 1.5 inches wide (which is standard for most belts). The belt pictured is 1.5 inches wide.
