Vintage Pink Milk Glass Wedding Box by Jeannette - Large

This pink milk glass covered box is usually referred to as a ‘wedding box.’ This type of piece was traditionally given to brides with a piece of her wedding cake inside. The lid is shaped so that it can fit under the foot of the container and serve as a base. Made of the palest pink glass by the Jeannette Glass Company, 1950s.

Measures 8 1/8 inches high, 4 1/2 inches square. Unmarked.

This listing is for the larger box in the center of the first image only.

Overall condition is good, with no cracks or repairs. Minor variations in color (see detail of lid) and molding, as is typical with Jeannette glass. The container will sit on the pointy finial of the lid, to make an additional platform for the piece.
