My Plaster Wall Words are cast using white Gedeo Resin Plaster in a mould made from my own hand-carved original plaster letters. The mould picks up the beautiful texture of the carved plaster, even the little bubbles and irregularities I found as I was carving. Each letter is hand finished to remove any oddities, and sanded flat on the back. If you'd like to know more about how they're made, please feel free to visit my blog at www.kuberblog.blogspot.com, as I'm often posting about production discoveries and new things I've made.
If you install the words in one line, 'bon appétit' measures about 59cm x 9cm (23.25in x 3.5in) depending on how closely you space the letters - I'll include my recommendations for spacing in with your parcel. You could also do it on two lines as I've done here for these photos. There's a picture there of me holding one of the letters so you can get an idea of how big it is in my average-sized girly hand! For the typophiles among you, these letters are based on the font Bookman demi italic and are approximately 290 points in size.
The last photo shows how your Plaster Wall Word will be packaged.
These letters are for interior use - I have not tested them outside. They may be attached to your wall with contact adhesive or double-sided foam tape (not supplied) - I'll let you make your own call on how best to adhere them to your particular wall surface, but I will add that double-sided foam tape works fine on my plain painted wall.
Gedeo Resin Plaster is a very hard, dense plaster designed for superfine white casting. It's certainly not a lightweight material like regular Plaster of Paris. These letters are pretty sturdy, but they will chip or break if accidently dropped onto a hard surface.
