‘Pushka [Forest Primeval]' uses decorative paper mixed with tiny bits of vintage watch pieces. It was created for a group show at the lovely and amazing Lark & Key Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This piece, like all of the offerings in my shop is hand cut paper and found items, all hand assembled [no digital work]. It’s made using items that I go out and troll around flea markets and yards sales and paper shops to find --- I bring it all home to live with me until everything comes together [in a surprisingly magical way, oddly enough] to form the new creation you’re looking at.
