This bag can be made in very little time (under 2 hours for someone who has sewn before) and can be a real showcase for a designer fabric. Even at this size, this design makes a great last minute gift but I just love it as a simple funky style to show off something gorgeous from my stash. It’s possible to add an extra two pockets if you wish, and if you use a pretty fabric as your lining the bag is also reversible. We do a lot of weekend trips to the coast so I would be lost without my trusty Overflow.
Apart from the obvious sewing basics the materials you'll need for this project are 125cm (50”) of a light weight fabric such as cotton homespun or poplin or a medium weight fabric like cotton drill or twill or even a lightweight upholstery fabric and 125cm (50”) in a light weight fabric like cotton poplin for the lining.
The pattern is supplied to you by email as two PDF files. One containing the instructions with colour pictures and tips to get you through. The other is a printer friendly file for the pattern itself. Just print on A4 or US Letter size paper and sticky tape the sheets together at the edges.
I am happy for you to sell your finished bags on Etsy as long as you credit Teapot & Snail as the designer on your page and do not mass produce the bag.
