I love my bed, I do...!
And what could be comfier than a huge pile of mattresses to sleep on?
The colourful pile of comfy mattresses is appliqued and freehand machine embroidered onto natural linen with the words 'I love my bed' and a little clock next to it.
The embroidery is done using a basic sewing machine fitted with a freehand embroidery foot. I sketch my drawings, cut the fabric to be appliqued and 'redraw' my sketch freehand straight onto the fabric using black thread.
The last photo is to help you get an idea of the size of this hoop. This listing is for the hoop shown in photos 1 & 2 only, others hoops and bobbins are not included sorry.
This piece is mounted on a 10"(26cm) embroidery hoop (made in Britain).
Ready to hang.
Each hoop is unique due to the nature of freehand machine embroidery, which I think adds to the charm. There will be slight variations from the photos shown.
