Summer Blues Dichroic Glass Earrings

These earrings are hand-assembled bits of dichroic glass and fired in a kiln. They are permanently adhered to surgical steel post earrings. Dichroic glass is glass containing multiple micro-layers of metal oxides which give the glass dichroic optical properties. When fired in the kiln, dichroic glass changes its appearance, so every piece of dichroic glass is unique. This particular glass is a layer of ice blue that shines purple on top of opaque black.
